AHMED AHMED

Ahmed Ahmed is an Egyptian/Muslim/American who immigrated to the US when he was a month old in 1970 with his parents and grew up in Riverside, California. He started his acting career at the age of 19 and after several years of being typecast as terrorists and cabdrivers he decided to shift into stand-up comedy to have a voice and this is where he made a name for himself. He is an internationally touring comedian and been in the business going on 30 years. Ahmed co-founded the groundbreaking Axis Of Evil Comedy Tour which was the first ever, all Middle Eastern Stand Up Special that aired on Comedy Central. Axis Of Evil later went on to make history taking their tour around the Middle East region performing in Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, Palestine, Syria, and Yemen with over 20,000 people in attendance. Ahmed has been seen on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, has two Showtime comedy specials, starred in Vince Vaughn‘s Wild West Comedy Show, and also appeared in WEEDS, Swingers, You Don’t Mess With The Zohan and Iron Man. He’s been in dozens of news articles and press including The View, CNN, Wall Street Journal, NPR, BBC, TMZ, NY Times and Post, Newsweek and GQ to name a few.

Following The Axis Of Evil Comedy Tour he made his directorial debut with his award winning documentary Just Like Us where Ahmed took comedians: Sebastian Maniscalco, Whitney Cummings, Tom Papa, Tommy Davidson, Omid Djalili and many more to Dubai, Egypt, Lebanon and Saudi Arabia, once again performing in front of over 20,000 people with sold out shows. The documentary premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival then landed on Netflix, Starz, Showtime and other various streaming platforms. Just Like Us was selected in over 30 film festivals around the world and garnered the attention of President Barack Obama which landed him an invite for a dinner with him at the White House.

Following his documentary he was cast by Vince Vaughn and Peter Billingsley to star in TBS’s Sullivan and Son which aired for three seasons. Ahmed is currently touring around the world and preparing for his next comedy special as well as developing several TV and film projects.
